Here, we evaluated the immunoprotective efficacy of MVs derived from the LPS low-expressed APEC strain FY26ΔmsbB, which was an APEC mutant strain with a deletion of the msbB gene. These findings suggest that MVs generated from the LPS low-expressed APEC strain FY26ΔmsbB represent a novel and empirically validated subunit vaccine for the prevention and control of infections by various APEC serotypes.
